I don’t know about you, but my mind likes to play games on me…telling me things like:
- You’re not adding value unless you’re busy.
- If you were good at what you do, clients would be knocking at your door without having to market yourself.
- You are failing.
Do you know what’s true about those statements?
…unless you believe them.
Over the past six months, my client roster has slowly dwindled from many to a few.
2020 has been challenging on so many fronts.
As a performance marketing consultant, the past six months of decline is what I could call, poor performance.
Or is it?
There are benefits to less:
- More sleep.
- More time with the family.
- More non-work projects.
- More friends.
- Less stress.
These aren’t bad, right?
But that doesn’t mean the achiever in you settles down and stops telling us things that aren’t true.
Social media won’t tell you the anti-hustle story. It doesn’t sell well.
Good thing I’m not promoting anything.
I’m just one high-achieving human talking to another.
